and transter weight to the rear and have the rear stay up. With an IRS, the rear tends to squat, which looks like the car is sitting down over the rear wheels, but actually the rear suspension is coming up, unloading the weight over the rear wheels. On a straight axle car, they set it up so that there is body seperation upon launching, where the whole car (briefly) comes up (kind of like doing a push up..you're coming up but pushing weight down) and then settles down as the car goes down the track. You can't get an IRS car to get rear body seperation, so our cheesy little "mod" is about the best you can do to help transfer weight from the front to the rear upon launching.
